Educatee Commencement Speakers
Missouri Western State University has a tradition of alternating Commencement Anniversary speakers, with a faculty member speaking each Fall, and a graduating senior each Spring. The educatee starting time speakers are listed below from 2013 to the about electric current in 2021.

Whitney Davidson
Whitney earned a caste in Psychology while at Missouri Western State University. She has besides been a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Student Interest Committee, and the Lodge of Collegiate Journalists. She volunteered with harvesters in Kansas City, been involved with the Silence the Hate Movement, and is a government minister of the Haven Church, formerly Zion Grove Baptist Church building in Kansas Metropolis.

Alyssa Bonnett
Alyssa served as the Treasurer of the Organization of Educatee Social Workers, Secretary of Active Minds, Leader of a group project on how to amend our campus's Title IX, Volunteered in Numerous Events: Boy Scouts Day, Army Guard Party, Walk for the Homeless, Change for Change, & more. She has e'er been on either the Deans and/or President's Award Rolls. Likewise a role of the Phi Alpha Honor Social club. Alyssa concluded upwardly contracting COVID-19 and was unable to attend the starting time in person, but was able to tape her speech in accelerate to be played at the ceremony.

Eugenia Wallace
Eugenia Wallace was built-in and raised in Kansas Urban center, Missouri. At a young age, she developed a passion for serving others while falling in love with the law. Growing up in the foster care arrangement, Wallace served on the Missouri State Youth Informational Board, advocating for foster youth across the state, drafting and implementing legislation that is still in use today. By the historic period of xvi, Wallace was a higher athlete at Missouri Western State University. At that place, she quickly became involved with several organizations. Dianah Hidzir
Dianah, an international pupil from Malaysia, received her Available of Science Degree in Public Relations; graduating Cum Laude. Dianah spent three years, hither, in Missouri Western. Connor Sameneus
Connor Samenus earned his Available of Science Degree in Business Assistants, double majoring in Finance and Bookkeeping, also as Honors in Full general Studies, and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Connor served every bit the Executive Vice President of the Student Regime Association, President of Phi Delta Theta, a representative on the Craig Schoolhouse of Business Dean'due south Student Advisory Council, a Resident Assistant in both Scanlon and Juda, and was a Registration Leader for Griffon Edge. Ida Haefner and Alex Atkinson
Ida Haefner graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a concentration in Zoology. Ida is from Hillsboro, Missouri, just south of St. Louis. She was involved in many activities on campus including Tri-Beta, the Biological Honors Society where she held a leadership position for the last three years of her fourth dimension on campus; the Student Honors System, Alpha Chi; and the Student Government Association, where she served as Manager of Advice in 2014-2015 and the 2015-1016 student torso President. When she left MWSU, Ida pursued her dream of becoming an Fauna Keeper, and afterward an Animal Curator for a Zoo or Aquarium. Her long-term goal is to become the President of the United States.
Alex Atkinson received his Bachelor of Scientific discipline caste in spoken language communication with a concentration in public relations. Julia Buescher

Kendra Greer
Kendra was very involved on campus as a Griffon Edge Leader, staff member for the Griffon Yearbook, and a member of Blastoff Sigma Alpha sorority, where she held the highest position of chapter president. Kendra served as a Rho Gamma sorority recruitment counselor and was the 2014-2015 Panhellenic Council president. Additionally, Kendra served as a Pupil Senator and participated in the Communications Department's study abroad plan for two years. Kendra was likewise the 2014 Missouri Western Homecoming Queen.
Kendra worked on campus as a tele-counselor and pupil assistant in the theatre, cinema and trip the light fantastic toe department. She was active in the community with Special Olympics, The Allied Arts Council, Second Harvest Food Banking company and The St. Joseph Mustangs.

Derek Thompson

During his time on campus, Derek served as the Phi Sigma Kappa Vice President; the Pupil Government Association Managing director of Pupil Relations; in multiple theatre productions; as the President of the Student Honors Organization President; a concert chorale member; and as a Resident Banana.
Derek's Commencement speech communication was entitled, "Don't Step on the Seal, and Other Ways to Graduate from Missouri Western."

Nicole Kerr
Nicole Kerr graduated with a degree in Electronic and Computer Technology Engineering science. Hailing from Brisband, Queensland, Australia, Nicole volunteered at international pupil orientation, participated in the international lecture series during her time at Missouri Western. Her First speech was entitled, "Transformations."

Quincy Hawkins
Quincy Hawkins earned a Health Scientific discipline caste from Missouri Western. Quincy was involved in Phi Delta Theta during his college years; he is now a Safety Coordinator at Herzog. His Commencement speech was entitled, "Growth."
